7s' 1978 Fender Jazz Bass (Black)

I always figured this was an early to mid 80's Jazz Bass until I checked out the serial number a few months ago as I was getting the action adjusted. I was quite surprised to find out that it was a 1978 bass.  It must have been sitting in music stores for quite some time, given that I didn't buy it until 1985 and it was still new at the time.  Nonetheless, it has been a fantastic bass over the years and still looks and plays like new.
